Fielding Estate Winery

OUR PAST & PRESENT

Ken and Marg Fielding, along with their son Curtis and his wife Heidi, opened the winery doors in 2005. Fielding Estate Winery quickly established its place alongside Niagara wineries as a warm, inviting place to relax and enjoy award-winning, small lot VQA wines.

The architecture of the winery is influenced by the Fielding’s northern Ontario roots in the Haliburton Highlands. Designed by renowned architect Andre D’Elia of Superkül, the contemporary Canadian design is inspired by elements only be found in nature – wood, stone and sunlight. With the natural finishes and earthy tones, the design allows all the facets of nature to become one. A perfect escape to sit on the lodge deck or in our outdoor lounge to enjoy the wines and the view.

HEIDI & CURTIS FIELDING

Curtis has been instrumental raising the profile of Niagara’s grape & wine industry, working alongside farmers and winemakers. In 2012, Curtis was awarded The Grape Growers of Ontario’s most celebrated award, the Grape King. Curtis also sits on the Ontario Craft Winery Association Board to further support the Ontario wine industry.

A former race car driver, Curtis is an accomplished hockey coach, one of the owners of the Grimsby Peach Kings and a local firefighter. He enjoys the outdoor life back home in Minden with his family always trying to catch the next big fish.

Heidi is the sparkling personality that you often see on TV chatting about wine country events, special occasions and supporting Niagara’s wine industry in every way possible. Heidi sits on the Niagara Wine Festival Board, sharing her 20+ years of hospitality and marketing experience and is winner of the Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce – Women in Business Awards 2022, Innovations in Hospitality and Tourism.

When not at the winery, Heidi is a proud mom, enjoys golfing, travel and wine of course.

There is no other winery couple quite like Heidi and Curtis.
